'KGF: Chapter 2' box office collection day 6: Hindi version inches closer to beat 'Baahubali 2' first week record

Six days in and 'K.G.F: Chapter 2' (Hindi) has continued its credible run at the box office. As per Box Office India, the film collected over Rs. 19 crores on Tuesday and saw a 25% drop compared to Monday, Day #5 but is still well on course to cross the whopping Rs. 250 cr. mark by the end of the first week. Going by the current estimates, 'KGF 2' will beat 'Baahubali - The Conclusion' which had collected about Rs. 246 crores (nett) in its first week's box office run.
The sixth total of the film, as revealed by Box Office India, crosses the Rs. 235 crores mark and the film is highly likely to beat 'Baahubali 2' for the first-week collection record, unless something drastic were to hamper the plans.

'KGF: Chapter 2' has benefitted from the Thursday release, allowing it an additional day to shine at the box office and also take the top spot in a number of regards. Aside from being the biggest opener for a Hindi film with Rs. 53 crores (~), the film also holds the records for being the best second-day collection, best weekend figures, best Sunday and four-day figures in the Hindi belt. Similarly, the original Kannada version too has outshined all its predecessors and now holds the distinction of being the biggest opener in the history of Kannada cinema, aside from a number of other accolades
The Malayalam audience too has showered all its love on the film and 'KGF 2' is now the biggest opener in the history of Malayalam cinema. For a non-Telugu or non-Tollywood film, 'KGF: Chapter 2' had a record opening and has surpassed all the previous records set by non-Tollywood films for the second, third, fourth, best Sunday, and weekend collections. The IMAX run of the film too has now become an indisputable record.
