Rakul Preet Singh has been living in a suitcase, literally! After finishing the shoot of ‘Attack’ and ‘Mayday’, she has begun shooting for ‘Doctor G’ in Bhopal today. Talking about joining the cast, headlined by Ayushmann Khurrana, for the shoot, she says, “I am so excited to be in Bhopal and start the shoot of ‘Doctor G’. I have waited for so long to begin shooting for the film, which came to a halt due to the lockdown. I’m thrilled and look forward to working with Ayushmann, Shefali ji (Shah), and the entire crew. It’s an amazing script and close to my heart. I can’t wait to be directed by Anubhuti Kashyap.”
The actress is also excited about spending time in Bhopal. She says, “This is the first time I am shooting here… it’s also my first visit here. I had heard so much about Bhopal as a city of lakes and as soon as I landed, I experienced its beauty first-hand. My drive to the hotel was so beautiful. It is such a green and pretty city. I can’t wait to explore it. I also want to try the poha and jalebi that it’s famous for; I’ve heard so much about it.”
With five films lined up for release this year, Rakul is not wracking her head about whether they will release in the theatre or not. In an earlier interview, she told us, “A few of my films were slated to release last year, and some projects, which are on hold, would have probably been completed by now and I would have moved on to something else. I was in a new space after ‘De De Pyaar De’, and was eager to make the most of it. Having said that, I try to calm myself down by looking at the brighter side of things. At least, I still have work and don’t have to worry about my basic needs. I am grateful for everything I have.”
