Revealed: Kartik Aaryan gets an additional Rs. 7 crores to agree for a direct to OTT release of Dhamaka

Kartik Aaryan has roped certain the name part within the Ram Madhvani directorial Dhamaka. Next, we revealed the news that the movie which was originally slated for a theatrical release was heading on to OTT. Well, we've managed to uncover the important reason why Kartik Aaryan finally agreed to an important OTT release of Dhamaka.

As per well-placed industry sources, we are told that Kartik Aaryan had entered into an effect the makers of Dhamaka which involved him being paid a sum of Rs. 10 cr. as fees alongside a share of the profits from its theatrical release. “Kartik has become a quite bankable star in his title, keeping this in mind Ronnie Screwvala had entered into an agreement with Kartik including a share of the film’s profits along with side Rs. 10 cr. fee,” says the source. Prod him about how the makers of Dhamaka convinced Kartik Aaryan to vary his mind and he adds, “Though Kartik has become quite big, he isn’t that big a star who can influence a producer’s decision. However, Kartik was very clear that he wanted a much bigger paycheque for a digital premiere, and now with Netflix in the final stages of acquiring the film, this is often exactly what happened.”

Interestingly, the extra Rs. 7 cr. to Kartik Aaryan’s Rs. 10 cr. the fee was what convinced him to greenlight an immediate OTT release of Dhamaka.
