Rohit Shetty's upcoming film 'Cirkus' with Pooja Hegde and Ranveer Singh might get a new song, shot in the locales of Goa.
Shetty has shot most of 'Cirkus' on sets and in Mumbai, but he's got detailed ideas of getting to the beach state. As per the reports, "The producers will be going to Goa in October or November to can a song with the film's lead pair."
Rohit Shetty's first tryst with Goa began with his first film in the Golmaal franchise, and ever since, he's made the location an integral part of his subsequent movies. During an interaction at IFFI 2019, Shetty had professed his penchant to shoot in Goa and said, "I have shot 12 films here, 14 years ago I shot my first, Golmaal. People are very positive in Goa, and the landscape is beautiful. I even have shot all across the state – right from North to South."
Both Ranveer Singh and Rohit had shot in Goa for 'Simmba.' The producer is in South Africa, shooting for the truth television program 'Khatron Ke Khiladi' 's expected to return to Mumbai in July. His latest directorial venture, 'Sooryavanshi,' a cop saga that features Akshay Kumar in the lead role, has been awaiting a theatrical release for over a year.
It is believed that 'Cirkus' will feature Ranveer during a double role, and hence the comedy will feature other actors like Jacqueline Fernandez, Murli Sharma, and Varun Sharma. There was also speculation last year that the movie could even have a special schedule based in Ooty, but with pandemic restrictions, that would prove hard.
