Soni Razdan on Alia-Ranbir expecting their first baby: Words really don’t do justice

Actor Soni Razdan reacts to the news of her daughter Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor expecting their first baby

Actor Alia Bhatt started the week on a happy note by sharing some good news, that she is expecting her first baby with actor-husband Ranbir Kapoor, and her mother Soni Razdan is overwhelmed with emotions.

Razdan is happy that Bhatt is starting a new chapter in her life, and has sent lots of good wishes to her. “We are overjoyed and overwhelmed. Words really don’t do justice to this moment,” she told us.

Razdan is happy that Alia will soon be embracing motherhood, saying bringing another life into the world comes with great joy. “I am just so so happy for Ranbir and Alia and for all of us. There is nothing greater or more profound in this world than bringing another life into it,” she added.

On Monday, Alia shared a photo on Instagram of the couple from the hospital, writing, “Our baby ….. coming soon”. She also shared a photo featuring a lion and lioness with their cub. Soon after the announcement, her comment section was filled with congratulatory messages.

Actor Priyanka Chopra Jonas wrote, “Congratulations honey! Yaaay! Can’t wait”, with filmmaker Karan Johar posting, “My heart is bursting”. Ranbir’s sister Riddhima Kapoor Sahni also reacted to the post, commenting heart emojis.

After dating for several years, Alia and Ranbir got married in April 2022 at Ranbir’s Mumbai home Vastu, in the presence of their close friends and family members. At the moment, Alia is busy shooting for her debut Hollywood project, Heart of Stone, co-starring Gal Gadot and Jamie Dornan, meanwhile Ranbir is busy with promotion work for his upcoming release, Brahmastra.
