Lata Ji was born on the 28th of September 1929 in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. She was born to the name Hema Mangeshkar. Her father was an Indian classical musician, which is one reason why Lata Ji is one of India’s most profound singers. The Nightingale of India debuted in the music industry in 1943, singing at the mere age of 13 years!

Pyaar Hua Iqraar Hua was released in 1955 in the movie “Shree 420”. The song also had the voices of Manna Dey. The movie starred Raj Kapoor (as Ranbir Raj), Nargis (as Vidya), Nadira (as Maya), and Lalita Pawar (as Ganga Mai). Raj Kapoor directed the movie, and Shankar Jaikishan gave the music.

The movie starred Rekha (as Chandni), Jaya Bacchan (as Shobha Malhotra), Amitabh Bacchan (as Amit Malhotra). Yash Chopra directed the movie, and the music was by Shiv-Hari.

 

Tujhe Dekha To is from the movie Dil Waale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, released in 1995. The movie starred Shahrukh Khan (as Raj Malhotra), Kajol (as Simran Singh), and Amrish Puri (as Chaudhary Baldev Singh. Aditya Chopra directed the movie, and the music was by Jatin-Lalit.

 

Ek Pyaar Ka Nagma Hai was released in 1972, in the movie “Shor”. The movie has Manoj Kumar (as Shankar), Jaya Bacchan (as Rani). The movie was directed by Manoj Kumar himself, and Lakshmikant-Pyarelal gave the music.

 

Aaja Piya Tohe Pyaar Du is from the 1967 movie, Baharon Ke Sapne. The movie stars Rajesh Khanna (as Ramaiya) and Asha Parekh (as Geeta). Nasir Hussain directed the movie while R.D. Burman was the music director.
