Papon Pays an Emotional Tribute to Zubeen Garg at His First Live Concert After the Singer’s Passing

Singer Papon made a heartfelt return to the stage in Pune with his first live performance since the passing of his close friend Zubeen Garg. The moment was filled with emotion as Papon remembered the late singer and paid tribute by performing one of Zubeen’s most loved songs, “Jaane Kya” from Pyaar Ke Side Effects.

During the concert, Papon addressed the audience with warmth and grief, saying, “This is my first show after he left, and I wanted to celebrate him. Zubeen Garg will always be with us through his music and voice.” He also mentioned that the song was not originally his style but he wanted to make it his own as a way of honoring his friend.

Following Zubeen’s sudden demise, Papon had earlier cancelled all his performances to mourn the loss. He even shared a heartfelt message on social media with an old photo, writing, “Missing you so much, my brother. Stay happy wherever you are.”

Zubeen Garg, known for iconic songs like “Ya Ali”, tragically passed away on September 19 in Singapore while swimming with friends. His remains were brought back to Guwahati, where his final rites were performed on September 23.

Papon’s emotional tribute reminded fans of the deep bond the two shared and celebrated the timeless legacy of Zubeen Garg’s music that continues to live on in the hearts of millions.
